What comes to your mind when you hear the word adventure? What do you think constitutes an adventure?

Lots of people would think it involves traveling to a foreign country to explore exciting caves, jungles, or landmarks. Some would say it’s doing something breathtaking like skydiving, water-skiing, or fire walking (especially if you’re a Tony Robbins fan). For others, it’s starting a new chapter in their lives, whether it involves losing weight, buying a home, or starting a business.

So, what is an epic adventure? Really, the answer is simple:


You heard me right—there is no one set way to have an epic adventure. Everyone on this planet should be able to enjoy the benefits of living an adventurous life. How would that be possible if adventures only consisted of certain things or places? We’re all different—all 7 billion and change—of us. Life is not exciting if we’re all forced to do the same thing.

An epic adventure is actually an epic lifestyle. It isn’t where we go. It’s not what we do for fun. Ultimately, it’s how we live!!!!

Your epic adventure consists of many areas of your life. More on that later.

If you’re not happy with where you are at in your life—no problem. You ever heard the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Life is a journey, not a destination”? It is so true because we should be enjoying our entire journey to get to where we want to be.

Oh, by the way, how similar are the words, “adventure” and “journey”, when you think about it? Life can be a journey; which means it can be an adventure as well, right?

So, how do you create your own epic adventure? 

First, Why is it CREATE Your Own Epic Adventure?

I’d be willing to bet that most people would look at that phrase and wonder if I have any idea what I’m talking about. “Create your own epic adventure, Bruiser? There are already tons of things we do with our lives that have already been made for us. We’re not creating anything new.” Well, those people have the wrong idea.

You see, the majority of people go through life programmed to live life going down similar paths. Think about how most lives in society play out.

One is born.
One goes to school and gets an education.
One goes to college or another form of secondary school.
One gets a job.
One gets married.
One buys a house and settles down, raises a family.
One works for 30, even 40 years.
One retires.

Let me ask you, Does this life really sound exciting to you? Wait, it gets worse. When it comes to work, the majority of people don’t even enjoy what they do. Imagine going to work for 40 years and not enjoying it. Would you even last 40 years doing something you don’t love? Lots of people do go through that, and the reasons are endless. It could be from self-doubt believing they can’t get another job. It could be that they’ve actually convinced themselves they are happy with their current work situation when they really aren’t. The same goes for any living situation, marriage, family life – anything. This leads people to feel angry, depressed, unmotivated………..you get the picture. Why should we have to live life dealing with those types of feelings all the time?

What’s keeping the people in these situations from improving their lifestyle? You’d think they would want to see their lives improve. So why doesn’t it ever happen? The problem is they wait for the “lucky breaks” to come to them. They think and talk about how all this bad stuff in their lives happens – to them. But they want the good stuff in life to happen to them.

Let me tell you the truth, friends!!!! Life does not just – happen to you.
Let me say it one more time. Life does not happen to you.

So, what the hell am I actually talking about? Come on, I know you’re thinking that.

We all create our own lives. Yes, you heard me right. Whether depressing, bad, mediocre, good, or epic our life is ours to create, mold, and shape as we like!!! As crazy as that may sound, it’s actually true.

It all starts with our thoughts. To quote Mr. Emerson again—“We are what we think about all day long.” From there, our thoughts begin to shape our feelings. Positive thoughts are going to give us positive feelings and vice versa. Whatever feelings we have will determine the actions we take in our lives. This includes whether or not we actually take any action on something we intend to do or not. Just because we know we should do something doesn’t mean we’ll do it. Finally, the actions we take determine how successful we’ll be in creating the life we want. That’s right, people; success is not dependent on luck. Any “luck” that is associated with one’s success was, in fact, created by that person.

Still raising your eyebrows at me? I’ll give you another moment………….

That is why I say CREATE instead of “live” or “set yourself up for”. You are always creating your life, whether it’s the life you desire or the life you dread. So, why not create the life you desire and make it your own epic adventure?

Alright, Bruiser, What Is an Epic Adventure Made Of?

I’ll start by bringing up three points I mentioned earlier in the post.

1. An epic adventure is another way of saying an epic lifestyle.
2. Everyone deserves to have an epic adventure.
3. An epic adventure is anything you want it to be.

Okay, so how do I answer this question based on those three points? The best way I can do that is this…………..

An epic adventure is having everything you truly desire in all areas of your life. I’ll go into those areas a little bit.

From an overall standpoint, an epic adventure includes the following:
Having a positive mindset.
Having good health overall.
Earning the income that allows you to do everything you want.
Surrounding yourself with people you want to be with.
Living in an environment that empowers you.
Having a career or business you are passionate about.
Making a positive impact on others and on the planet.
All of this while enjoying the entire journey of what we call life while doing what you are passionate about.

“That’s such a long list, Bruiser!”, you say. Hey, I said, “EPIC adventure”………..not decent, good, or even great…………EPIC!!!!!! But if you want that epic lifestyle—it takes work to make it epic my friends.

One other concept to discuss—What is the benchmark that you need to hit for your life to be epic?

The answer goes back to point #3—An epic adventure is anything YOU want it to be.

“Yeah, sure, Bruiser, but there’s got to be a measurable point that we can use.”

There is, my friend. However, YOU set the benchmark for YOUR life. I can’t determine your happiness for you. You’ve got to decide what it takes for your life to be epic. There are more than 7 billion people on this planet. What do you think it would be like if we all had to follow the same blueprint and create the same adventure? How low do you think the standards would have to be set for everyone to reach those benchmarks? That doesn’t sound very epic now, does it? Different people, different lifestyles, different levels of epic. I’ll hit on how you determine your benchmarks later in the post, but for now……………….

We are given life on this planet to do amazing things!!!! There’s just one question…………

Why Is It That Most People AREN’T Doing Amazing Things?

Yeah, it’s true, most people have become content in following the normal way of life—at least normal in the eyes of society. They feel like tiptoeing through life so they can live as long as possible until they make it safely to death.

Let me give you the truth again in case you missed it just then—you’re going to die no matter what you do!!! As harsh as this may sound, death is one of the few certainties we have in our existence. Most people live in fear of death and spend their existence doing just that— existing. The saddest part is, most of those people don’t even realize that they are missing out on the most incredible experiences that other people and our planet have to offer.

What’s going on here?

Well, there’s a bunch of reasons for that. Here are just a few:

1. Most people don’t know what they want in their life. The best they seem to be able to do is to figure out some things that they DON’T want. Not that there’s anything wrong with finding out what you don’t want. But it should be done with the goal of getting yourself closer to figuring out what you truly DO want.

2. They listen to way too many external voices that are not their own. When you’ve got to make a decision about something, what do you tend to do before making it? When you’re unsure about something, how do you figure it out? Most people do one of two things: they ask other people (family, friends, co-workers, etc.) or look to sources such as the Internet, social media, or other media, such as TV or news sources. While they could be good sources of information (pending on the subject), most people don’t realize they have the answers inside of them.

3. As a society, most people tend to be lazy. Yeah, I just said that, and I can because I’ve been there. When work is involved, most people tend to want to avoid it. Why? It could be that work is thought of as being hard. It could be that work to them just isn’t fun. It could be something else entirely. But most people just don’t want to do hard work. They like to take the easy way out if it’s there.

4. Most people don’t like change. They like things in their life just the way they are, even if it’s not the life they desire because it’s what they’re used to. The routines they go through are comfortable for them and again, they like it to be as easy as possible. Change doesn’t make things as easy for them. It requires stretching and growth. This scares a lot of people into complacency.

Many different reasons, one common thread. Yes, people, there’s a common thread here. Achieving big goals and an epic lifestyle begins with one word:


Everything we see in our outer world originates from inside of us. Our mindset plays a huge part in the life we create. It’s so freaking simple—a positive mindset creates a positive life, while a negative mindset creates a negative life. The choice of which kind of lifestyle we will live is ours. Each one of us can start creating that epic adventure by shifting our mindset towards the positive side.

Building a Positive Mindset

It sounds so freakin’ easy, doesn’t it? Believe it or not, it takes work for us to change our mindsets to be predominantly positive.

“What? Work? There’s that word again!!!”

Okay, it’s not as bad as you think. But have you ever taken the time to observe which direction your thought patterns tend to move towards? Is it more negative or more positive? Don’t be ashamed to admit it’s negative. Our brains are actually wired to be that way.

While you get that dirty look out of your system…………let me repeat that–our brains are wired to be negative. Why? Our brains are all about survival. Going back to our early ancestors, our brains are hardwired to help us stay out of danger. You see, it’s not so bad…………or is it? If our negative brain keeps us from fully living a happy and fulfilled life, is being hardwired for survival that awesome? I’d say not.

So, how do we get past that negative wiring and build a mindset that tends to be positive? Again, there are many ways, and again, I’ll name just a few.

Meditation – Meditation is a very important practice for improving your mindset. It’s also one of the most misunderstood practices. It’s often thought that meditation involves chanting silly mantras or sitting all day in total boredom. That idea couldn’t be further from the truth. Meditation is actually very easy if you allow it to be.

Meditation is about clearing your mind and becoming more calm and clear as you move through your day. For most of us, our days get really busy and hectic. Hectic days become stressful days. Overly stressful days not only hurt your health but, over time, they really suck emotionally as well. Who wants to feel stressed all the time?

Letting go of your day and bringing on the calm is absolutely vital to the flow of your day.

Reading – And I’m not talking about scrolling through Facebook and reading captions to funny cat videos. I’m not talking about reading text messages from your friends either. And don’t even get me started about reading the newspaper and all the negativity that comes from it.

Good reading is reading solid informational material that helps you in some way. The best reading for your life includes books on personal development, self-help, personal growth, or whatever you want to call it. They will give you the tools to improve your thinking patterns and create new habits in your life to help you eliminate old ones that don’t serve you. Great examples include classics like Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” and Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People, as well as some current greats such as Gabby Bernstein’s “The Universe Has Your Back” and Gary Keller’s “The One Thing”.

Empowering Audios & Videos – What you read everyday matters. So does what you listen to. There is a lot of noise that we are exposed to. So much of that noise is negative – spreading rumors, the media covering tragedies and arrests, complaining about what’s not so good in our world, and just reading depressing things in general.

While there is a lot of negative noise, there’s also a lot of positive noise out there. The positive noise is what we need to take in more of. That includes motivational video and talks, streaming events, and (especially for those skeptical about the above) guided meditations.

“But, Bruiser, how often should I be doing these things?”

Okay, the first thing I should tell you is that the process of changing your mindset, like most forms of change, is like Rome. Rome wasn’t built in a day. You can’t change your mindset in one day (or sitting if that makes more sense). It takes repetition of new, daily, empowering actions to make a change happen. You have to do those things on a regular basis if you want results. Doing them every day will give you faster results.

But, Bruiser, that sounds like hard work!”

First off, my friend, hard work is not a bad thing sometimes. The good things in life don’t necessarily come easy.

Second……….are you being serious?!?!?! We’re talking about meditation, reading, listening to audios and watching videos. Are you on YouTube during the day? Guess what you can find there? That’s right……….epic audios and videos to empower you. Afraid of actual books? Hmm……….Audible, Kindle………..yeah, you can read them off your phone and/or tablet. As for meditation, I told you it’s easier than you think. You’re just not used to doing things like this.


Third, there are two bits of good news for you if you’re worried about doing all these things.

You don’t have to develop all these habits at the same time. In fact, it might be better if you focus on one or two at a time to get better results.

You don’t have to take a long time every day to work on them. An effective meditation can be done in as little as 2 minutes, only a few pages per day works, and audios and videos can be very short. It’s just that when it’s done repeatedly over time, it stacks up on top of each other and the results show up in a big way.

“So……………what else is part of an epic adventure, Bruiser?”

Again, everyone’s epic adventure will be different. It’s all based on your desires for every area of your life.

But, if you would like me to discuss some examples…………………eh, why not? A guideline to base your desires off of would be cool, wouldn’t it?


Okay, what’s the first area of life one would think of when I say the phrase “epic adventure”? Usually, the word “adventure” would be connected to the idea of travel. We tend to connect adventures to seeing far-away, exotic places or going to international events or celebrations. Why? Because it’s either new to us or there’s a lot of action involved. Or both, as in many cases.

That being said, we also take for granted what’s around us and we don’t think of that as being an adventure. Hey, travel can be as far or as close as you want. You can fly to the other side of the world, take the train to the next state, cruise the big oceans, or take a road trip a few hours away. What’s your favorite?


Travel is much more than going far away. You could live your adventure as a local tourist – even one in your own hometown. All you have to do is try something new. It can be a new place to eat, a new activity, or even a walk in a park or down a new street. What may be boring to one person is an epic adventure to someone else.


Hmmm. That reminds me – there is a way that you can really make the area where you live an adventure. Meet up with a friend from a different area than you. It could be someone from a different part of your country or from the opposite side of the world. If a friend travels close to the area where you live, meet up with them and spend time checking out the different things that make your area fun, interesting, and even unique. Every city and every town has something unique to offer. You might be used to seeing it, but for someone seeing it for the first is an immensely different experience.


Now, before I get bullrushed with “Bruiser, do you not know the dangers of meeting up with someone you don’t know?”, let me bring you at ease with a few tips for what I like to call, The Facebook Friend Meet-Up.

First, I am not talking about online chat rooms where you only talk to people based on a username. People can easily lie or deceive you in an online chat room. Plus, online chat rooms are so high school. We’re adults here. We should be making smart decisions with our epic adventure. So, don’t go there.

There is a reason that I called it a “Facebook friend meet-up”. Facebook is a great place to connect with people and a great source find people to meet up with for the first time. In Facebook, you normally see pictures of these people or of the things that they like. You can learn about them more easily through their posts and their profile. Just make sure they are actually posting and not keeping an empty profile.

Build a relationship with this person first. Both you and your FB friend want to feel comfortable with meeting up. Get to know this person on a friendly level. It doesn’t have to be on a deep level, but it’s important that you build trust with the other person and vice versa. You can do so by liking and commenting on their posts, chatting with them on Messenger, and/or chatting on a video call using Zoom or Skype.

Not sure on how to initiate these meet-ups? Concerts, sporting events, and networking events (like business conferences or training events) are just a few ideas that can set a meet-up in motion. Sightseeing in a nearby city is a great option. This is where building the relationship is important. You got to find something that both of you enjoy. Remember, these are intended to be fun.

Just because I called it a Facebook Friend Meet-Up doesn’t mean you have to use Facebook to connect. There’s Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn,  and many other options. Use whatever works for you. Just make sure you build that rapport with the other person.

Unless these social media sites change their focus and go in the dating site direction, don’t throw these around as dates. These are relationship builders that will build and spread more positivity to our world – friend-level relationship builders.

Traveling is a great way to really take in the beauty and excitement our world has to offer. An epic adventure is also about opening our minds to new ways of thinking. While traveling should be a part of everyone’s life, epic adventures are more than just travel. Even in living a travel lifestyle, you have to strengthen that lifestyle in other areas to really make it epic.

Health & Wellness

If you were to tell me that health isn’t all that important, I’d say you’re one of two things.

A.) You’re crazy or
B.) You don’t care about creating your own epic adventure.

If the latter is true, you may as well stop reading at this point. You have my permission. Otherwise, we need to have a serious chat.

Think about all the other area of your life. I’m talking about:
your finances
your career or business
your relationships
your social and fun life
your personal growth
your environment (home, work, etc.)
your spirituality
and anything else you can think of

If you allowed any of those areas of your life to fail, what would happen? Would you be able to fix the problem?

Are you shaking your head at me? Are you shrugging your shoulders in confusion?

This may shock you—yes, you can get out of a bad situation in any of those above areas and build it strong. You might not know HOW you would get out of a situation like that and that is understandable if you’ve never been in this situation before. However, if there is a problem, there will always be a solution.

Now, think about your health. What happens if you allow your health to become weak? If it becomes weak enough, you’ll end up dead. Then, you won’t be able to create and live out your epic adventure.

“Wait a minute, Bruiser, if death is certain for us, why would keeping our health strong matter?”

Is that the way you really want to leave this Earth? Think about it, people.

Your health is the most important aspect of your life. You don’t have your health; you don’t have your life.

What’s the best way to keep your health strong?

The best thing to focus on is what you are putting into your body, especially if you want to lose weight. Nutrition accounts for 80% of healthy weight loss. So, eating healthy is really, REALLY, important.

“Ugh. Now, I have to go on a diet”, you say.

Ugh!!! Right back at you. Diet? Oh, that’s such a restrictive word. I was so against going on a diet. That’s why my weight hovered in the 230s for years before I let it get up to around 250 pounds. I knew I needed to do something, but I still was freaked out about the idea of dieting.

Think about it. Would you want to give up your favorite foods forever? So, what can you do other than flat-out dieting? 

A great alternative is nutritional cleansing. Nutritional cleansing is a way to fuel your body while removing toxins and other junk from your body. It can be done in many different ways. Whatever way you choose to cleanse, make sure you are doing it regularly, especially if you want to continue enjoying your favorite foods that aren’t necessarily the healthiest.

Now, that doesn’t mean you eat unhealthy on the other days. You do have to take on the cleaner, healthier, nutritional lifestyle. For example, I replace two meals a day with nutritional shakes. And before you roll your eyes at me, let me tell you – I’ve been drinking shakes since June 2018. Do you think I’d be drinking nutritional shakes for this long if they tasted gross? I think not!!!

While nutrition makes up a large part of our health, there are so many other parts to good health that we can’t say, “Bye, Felicia” to. Obviously, working out is also a big component. We’ve been taught that since we were children. We should know that regular exercise builds strong muscles, but it also boosts metabolism, resulting in more calories being burned throughout the day.

Besides nutrition and working out? There’s also getting enough sleep per night, and practicing self-care regimes, such as meditation, spa days, walking outside, being in nature – oh, I could go on a while.

Home Business

Question for you – How do you feel about your career situation?

If everyone was truthful with themselves in answering this question, a lot of people in this world would probably say that they’d love a better situation, whether it’s a better job or to have their own business. Why they feel that way ranges bigtime – to earn more money, to do something they love to do, to be in a fun environment, to spend less time in their work – shall I go any further? 40 hours of work in a week is enough, but it doesn’t seem to be in this society.

The home business industry is a growing industry that gives people the chance to work from home and build an income while making more time-freedom to do other things. Who wouldn’t want more time to spend with friends and family? Who doesn’t want to travel more? Who doesn’t want to go to more fun events? A home business is a great solution to solve that problem.


A home business is an excellent way to make money while doing what you love. Why? Because in a home business, you don’t have to trade time for money. You can build income while you’re not working and you can work your way to having the time-freedom to enjoy even more of your passions. In turn, you can create that epic adventure even further!!!

Some home businesses are made from the creation of new products — usually digital products, although some are physical products. These products can be courses, membership groups, or online training.

Then, you have the affiliate marketing businesses. These businesses are built by promoting other people’s products. The seller then makes a percentage of the sales they are responsible for while the product’s owner makes the rest. This is a great type of business if you are starting out in the industry since you don’t have to make any products yourself.

Finally, there are the network marketing companies, including MLM (multi-level marketing) companies. These companies are made by company representatives who sell products and recruit other people to sell products and recruit other people and so on. People build networks of other people and make their money based on not only their own sales but also the sales of their team, which can reach many levels (hence, the “multi-level”). It’s like having your own business through that company.

Oh, and before you start bringing on the uh-uh’s, network marketing is a legitimate industry. Yes, some companies have been found to be pyramid schemes that people make money just by recruiting people. However, there are lots of companies that are very legit because they offer products in addition to recruiting people. You just have to do your research and make sure the company you want to join is legit. My recommendation – buy their products first and try them out. Become a product of the product.

Now, how big a business you want to build is up to you and how much you still want to be in a “regular” job.

Some people still like their regular jobs and just want to go into a “side hustle”. A side hustle just means building a side income to supplement the income one makes in a job. Usually, that could range from a few hundred bucks to about $1,000-$2,000 a month. That can go a long way to help out in many ways ranging from saving for retirement to taking extra vacations to a college fund if you have children. Imagine the financial pressure that can take off of you and even your loved ones.

But if you have a desire to quit your job and work completely from home (or wherever you want – even the beach), you can build a home business to a point that the business replaces the income from your “day job” so that you can be fully in your business and enjoying life even more. Again, the income one would make depends on the needs and desires of that person and/or their loved ones. This can range from as low as about $5,000 month to as high a 6-figure, 7-figure, or even 8-figure yearly income. You can definitely make bank because there is no limit to the amount of income you can make in a home business.

Before you get too into the hype, I’m going to bring you down to earth a bit. A home business is not all unicorns and rainbows. In truth, it is a roller coaster. There are going to be so many ups and downs. You’ll have good days and then you’ll have days where you might be pulling your hair out. It’s all part of the process. Oh, did I mention there will be work involved? Oh, yeah, anything created that’s worth having or doing is going to take a good amount of work – and believe me, this is absolutely worth it!!! Some of the work will even be – wait for it — **gasp** hard work!!! As much hype as being in the home business industry gets, it is not nearly as easy as you think to build it.

“Wait a second, Bruiser!!! Why would I enjoy a home business more than a regular job if there is hard work involved?”

This is where knowing what you’re passionate about comes into play. If you’re doing business in a niche that you are very passionate about, the hard work that you’ll encounter won’t feel like hard work. It’ll feel like an adventure because you’re doing what you love. When you are doing what you love in your life and making money for it, you’ll forget that there is hard work involved because the hard work will still be fun for you.

Don’t forget to remember what you’re desiring in your life as well and how much that home business will move you toward those desires. Think about it – a life that’s full of your desires and passions. That’s totally an epic adventure and that is exactly what a home business can bring you, as long as you take the time and the actions needed to grow and help your people out.

At the end of the day, you have got to be COMMITTED – I will repeat – COMMITTED to the process of building a home business if you’re going to have a successful one. There’s a huge difference between being interested and being committed. Even if it’s just a side hustle, being interested won’t get you very far. You have to put in the work to bring the people and sales in. That takes commitment.

A Quick Chat About the Other Areas of Life

So, I only went in depth on a few areas of life that are part of one’s epic adventure. That doesn’t mean the other areas of life aren’t important. It is essential that all the areas of your life be balanced in order to really live that epic lifestyle.

“What other areas of life, Bruiser?”

I figured you might want to know………….

Money – Money is more important than you might think. No matter the lifestyle you want to live, you have got to have money.

Do you want your dream house? You need money.
Do you want that dream car? It takes money.
Want to go out to eat a couple nights a week? Guess what you need.
Just want to pay the bills easier and on time? What do you pay them with? That’s right. Money.

It’s important to make sure you are making enough money to bring the lifestyle you want – to you. It’s also essential to make sure you are putting money away into an emergency fund and a retirement fund if you ever plan to retire.

Oh, and there is this word that a lot of people find scary. I used to think this as well. I’m talking about budgeting. We tend to think it’s really restrictive, but it’s actually a very helpful tool in making sure you manage your money smart.

Earn money. Manage your money. Feel as if you have enough money. Believe that you have the money for everything you want.

By the way, don’t be afraid to talk about money either. It is not inappropriate to do so. In fact, how you talk about money affects how well you earn it. No lie.

Relationships – It’s never really an epic adventure if you go it alone. You may feel comfortable being alone, but eventually, you’ll have that feeling that’s something’s missing.

Don’t’ get the wrong idea – doing things alone is all good. But eventually, you’ll want to be able to talk about your experiences and even share the memories and experiences with other people.

You can have several different types of relationships: family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, team members, anyone you want. The key to building strong relationships is finding connections with other people. To do so, be interested in what the other person likes to talk about and make time to hang out with them, whether it’s in person or online.

It doesn’t have to be a ton of people. Just make sure you have a good inner circle to make life more interesting.


Recreation & Fun – Okay, I know what it’s like to work all the time and not have fun. Let’s face it: there is no epic adventure if there’s no fun involved. If I gave examples of things to do for fun, I could go on for days. So, all I’ll say here is whatever you feel is fun, do it. Do it a lot. Do lots of things. Mix things up. The more fun you have in your life, the better. That also includes your business or job. Go have fun!!!!

Environment – While our Earth’s environment is so important to keep strong because it is all around us, so is our home and work environment.

Is it clean and organized or is it cluttered and messy? Is it like this at home and work? If you work at home, this is also a huge factor for you.

Where you live is also important. Do you like the area where you live? Think about the type of home, the climate and also what kinds of things there are to do that’s close by.

What about the people you surround yourself with? Are they positive and uplifting or a bunch of naysayers and “Debbie Downers”?

Your environment really is an outside reflection of your mindset. Chew on that for a while. Now, how do you want your environment to be?

Spirituality – We are all spiritual beings. We are all connected to a higher power. Whatever you want to call this higher power is up to you – there is not one name for this higher power. What is important is your connection to this higher power. Being tapped into your spirit allows you to use your intuition and find your purpose in life (see below), not to mention the health benefits involved – less stress for one. There are many practices you can use for your spirituality practice. There are many options such as meditation and EFT, or emotional freedom technique, just to name a few.

Impact & Influence – In other words, what’s your purpose? What is the message you are looking to spread to the world? Yes, you do have the power to impact people all over the world. Everyone’s looking to improve their lives in some way and you could be the one to deliver to them. You have expertise in something, whether it’s in a physical activity (fishing, cooking, playing a sport, running a business, etc.), an intellectual skill (reading, math, problem-solving, etc.), or a spiritual practice (meditation, EFT, affirmations, etc.). No act of kindness to help someone is too small.

The ultimate goal of our population as a collective should be to improve ourselves, each other, and the planet. We all have a different purpose. Your purpose is what lights you up to go forward every day. What excites you to live that epic adventure? Most people don’t search for their purpose in life. Why not be part of the few that not only seek out their purpose but also make that purpose a reality?

If you’ve made it to this point, I salute you!!! You really are committed to living an epic adventure lifestyle. No doubt you want to break away from the forces of expectations that society tries to pull you in with.

Whether that is the case, or you just scrolled to the end just to see the last section (no worries, I’ve done it myself), here are the main points:

Creating your own epic adventure is really creating your dream lifestyle. Life should always be an adventure. It is breaking away from the expectations that society has for you to fit in with everyone else. Be your own person. Live your own life.

There are unlimited ways to live your own epic adventure – whatever you want to do for your work and for fun. Hey, there are over 7 billion people on this planet. Life is more epic with more options, right?

A positive mindset is the most important ingredient to having an epic lifestyle. That’s why most people aren’t living one. Reading books, meditation, listening to positive audios, watching positive videos are some of the ways to go about getting and maintaining a positive mindset.

It is essential to be strong in all areas of your life for your epic adventure – health and wellness, business/career, fun & adventure (including travel), money, relationships, environment, spirituality, and impact & influence. They all are connected to our very essence of life.

Oh, let me add one final bonus tip regarding being strong in all areas of your life. If you have work to do in all your “life areas” to become stronger, don’t try to do it all at once. Focus on 1-2 areas at a time. You can switch your focus from time to time as needed, but if you try to change everything at once, you make more of a hot mess than before.

When you reach the point that you’re actually living your epic adventure, it is incredibly gorgeous. No, the journey won’t be smooth sailing. Yes, there will be some obstacles along the way. As long as you are enjoying the journey and focusing on the life you are creating, it is all worth it.
